We are delighted to announce Sam Carter has been appointed as 33 Chancery Lane’s new Chief Executive & Director of Clerking.
Sam joins with a wealth of experience having been a barristers’ clerk for 20 years, many of which have been spent as a senior clerk.
Sam has a profound understanding and enviable knowledge of the international and commercial markets, having dealt with large international disputes and clients throughout the UK and Europe, US, Latin America and Caribbean, Asia Pacific, and Middle East.
He also spent some time during that period as Managing Director at the International Arbitration Centre where he assisted in the creation and development of a highly successful specialist ADR offering.
He is responsible for leading and managing client relationships and implementing strategic growth and business development within their specialist practice areas, as they cement their position as a leading set in financial wrongdoing, across civil and criminal litigation and inquiries.
Sam is widely recognised as one of the elite and prolific business generating clerks at the UK Bar.
When considering a chambers move with my team, I met with all the major players in the industry. Guy and Tony were our clear preferred choice.
They were authentic in their approach, challenged us when they felt it necessary and ultimately delivered a seamless service. Most importantly they showed complete discretion, which was for us the most important criteria.
Their reputation for being leaders in their field is well deserved and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.
